Summer of 2009 - A Time of Change
It was a notable Summer comprising many life changes:
- My Father's Death
- My oldest Daughter's transition from childhood to becoming a young woman
- Changing jobs
- Changing work location: from East Bay to Peninsula
- Moving House
Beat the High Gasoline Prices
I wonder who has been preventing these vehicles from being sold in the United States of America? Looking at this line-up, a Prius doesn't seem that special anymore. On a side note, all of these, unlike the Prius, can burn 100% bio diesel and be 100% independent of petroleum-based fuel.

Ron Paul for President
Having pledged never to raise taxes, he has long advocated ending the federal income tax, scaling back government spending, abolishing most federal agencies, and removing military bases and troops from foreign soil; he favors hard money and opposes the Federal Reserve. He also opposes the Patriot Act, the federal War on Drugs, No Child Left Behind, and gun control. Paul is strongly pro-life, and has introduced bills to negate Roe v. Wade, but affirms states' rights to regulate or ban abortion, rather than federal jurisdiction.

I went to this furniture store Saturday afternoon (23 Feb 2008) with my wife and two children. A middle-aged black woman, Nathalia (sales associate # 4953) was initially cordial and helpful. This experience, however, was about to take an abrupt turn. In the end, my wife and I felt so violated and disrepected, that we'll probably never shop there again.
